Sales Team
Barry Green
Barry Green's career in the produce industry seems to have been predestined. His grandfather and great-uncles began selling fresh fruit and vegetables by horse and wagon back in 1925, and went on to found one of Ontario's largest produce wholesalers. His father built a successful vocation of his own in the same business.
Proudly upholding the family tradition, Barry was still a Bachelor of Commerce student when he entered the industry at FBI Foods in Montreal. Upon graduation, he went on to become a produce salesman and buyer trainee for Dominion Citrus & Drugs. In 1982, he was invited by Montreal produce broker Richard (Dick) Ryan to head up a Toronto office. By 1988, Barry and his brother Steven Green had assumed full control of the business.
As president of the company, Barry oversees all aspects of the business, from corporate strategy development, to administrative functions, to marketing. Barry's greatest interest, however, lies in building sustaining close connections within the industry, and so he remains an integral part of the client and supplier negotiations that are the mainstay of the business.

Steven Green
Steven joined Richard E. Ryan in 1985 after completing a degree in economics, and worked his way up through the ranks to become Vice-President and Co-Owner in 1988.
The focus of Steven's role at Richard E. Ryan is the development and implementation of sales and marketing systems, and he is therefore responsible for the recruitment and training of the sales force, advertising and promotions, and formulating new business strategies. Steven is also directly involved in the daily transactions being negotiated between growers and buyers.

Adam Crawford
Adam became a part of the Richard E. Ryan team in 1987, and is a well-known and liked face among industry insiders. He is a highly meticulous negotiator and mediator, and handles both the buying and selling of the produce through direct dealings with customers and an expansive supplier network. You might very well see Adam at the next trade show or convention, gathering and disseminating information on all aspects of the business, from produce flow to future trends.

Keith Brown
Keith joined the Richard E. Ryan sales staff in January of 2005, after a 12-year career as a transportation broker at the Ontario Food Terminal. Prior to that, he was the General Manager in charge of Sales and Marketing for a prestigious printing company.
Keith's experience and in-depth understanding of the produce industry have proven to be valuable assets when dealing with both growers and clients, enabling him to skilfully interpret the expectations of all parties and to successfully negotiate deals which work to the advantage of all. When Keith is not busy tending to the needs of our established clients, he will be analyzing market conditions and sourcing out new commodities and new opportunities in order to expand our ability to successfully service both produce buyers and suppliers.
